Cities on the Horizon
The first edition explored new thinking, innovation and emerging technologies shaping the urban future, bringing together urban planners, consultants, practitioners, policy-makers and corporates.
For Mahindra Lifespaces, FYI Group worked beyond the conventional boundaries of real-estate marketing, helping the brand establish a more considered voice around how cities should be imagined, planned and lived.
At the heart of this engagement was Confluence, a thought-leadership platform conceived and curated by FYI Group and helmed by Anand Mahindra, which brought together some of the country’s leading thinkers, city-makers, architects, planners, developers and urban stakeholders over four years. Rather than functioning as a conventional industry conference, Confluence created a forum in which ideas about the future of Indian cities could be debated, challenged and exchanged, positioning Mahindra Lifespaces within a larger national conversation about urbanisation and the quality of the built environment.

The second edition focused on the role of citizens, policy-makers and businesses in making cities more resilient.

This thinking extended into the physical experience of the brand through the conception and creation of Mahindra Lifespaces’ experience centres, where the proposition of a well-planned city was made tangible through spatial storytelling. The centres were designed not simply to sell individual developments, but to communicate the larger principles behind responsible urban development: planning, infrastructure, community, landscape, mobility and the relationship between individual homes and the cities around them.
The Mahindra World City experience centre brought an immersive facility and point of sales together. Exhibition walls, architectural silhouettes, wayfinding and spaces for conversation helped visitors explore the developments through a connected spatial experience.

FYI Group also developed sales and communication programmes that translated these larger ideas into market-facing experiences, creating communication systems for sales teams, supporting project launches and designing events that brought prospective customers into direct engagement with the developments.

Across these interventions, the work moved between thought leadership, experience design, communication and business development, connecting the larger question of how cities should evolve with the immediate task of helping people understand and invest in that future.
The commercial impact was equally tangible, with the programmes and events generating more than 800 leads, demonstrating that meaningful brand thinking need not sit apart from business performance.
The engagement ultimately positioned Mahindra Lifespaces not merely as a developer of real estate, but as a participant in, and contributor to, the larger conversation about the making of better Indian cities.
